Too fast Right from the beginning of the story it was felt that Montresor had obviously been put down constantly by Fortunado. Quoted by Montresor “…but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge.” This goes to show that whatever Fortunado had said it had a great affect on Montresor. I would ask him this because I would want to know if killing someone to get revenge ever occurred to him as the right thing to do. I would ask Montresor what Fortunado said to him that made him so angry. I would ask him this because I want to know if what Fortunado said was really that bad.
