There were other important motives guiding the US’s Foreign Policy with respect to being able to compete with other imperialistic nations as well as to advance themselves militarily. Moreover, there were also nationalistic and humanitarian motives influencing the US’s foreign policy. However, the economic benefits of foreign policy outweighed these motives and served as the country’s most prominent reason to expand its dominion.
