Utilitarianism

The basic theory of utilitarianism is called “The Principle of Utility” and it states the morally best alternative is that which produces the greatest amount of happiness or pleasure to the greatest amount of people. …certain cases utilitarianism makes sense, but more than not it seems like I wouldn’t want to sacrifice something very important to me in order to make everyone else happy. Utilitarianism proves that you can’t make all the people happy all the time.
