Conflict ensues in the movie about the machine’s appearance of humanity—similar in manner to the difficulties of acceptance that the monster in Frankenstein cannot overcome because of his being man-like, yet not man. In both cases, creation was accomplished with the goal of producing something modeled after man, however the end result is decidedly NOT man—just man-made.
