Violence in America

In New York, a sixteen-year-old boy broke into a cellar. When the police caught him and asked why he was wearing gloves, he replied that he had learned from watching television, if you wear gloves you won’t leave any fingerprints. In Alabama, a nine-year-old boy received a bad report card from his teacher. He suggested sending the teacher poisoned candy as revenge as he had seen on television the night before. …that media has a big effect on the aggression now present in Americas youth. Television has an unlimited potential for good, but at the present time its influence on children’s lives is largely negative. The toll violence in the media has taken on society is too great to simply look the other way. Something needs to be done. If not, what will the world be like when today’s youth are running the country?
