Voilence In Chicago History

During the 1871-1929 time period Chicago was a town in which both criminal and social workers operated. For various reasons both of these groups found a way to operate in the same city. …wanted them both here. Chicagoans knew the social workers were a necessity to help the poor and Chicagoans also loved their vice. Wealthy citizens and politicians would engage in many of the vices Al Capone brought to the city. These were the same people who supported the social reform women like Jane Addams created. This was similar to how people would go to church on Sunday morning and go to a tavern in the afternoon.
