Watership Down

Throughout Richard Adams’ book Watership Down, the rabbits of Watership Down encounter two other warrens. Hazel and his followers are able to strengthen their small warren by borrowing ideas from Cowslip’s warren and Efrafa. From Cowslip’s warren, Watership Down copies an architectural design and also realizes the importance of religion. Even though Cowslip’s warren and Efrafa are far from perfect, Hazel is able to find the good in them and use it to his advantage. Since Hazel is able to borrow ideas from other warrens and learn from their mistakes, he is able to make Watership Down a successful and powerful warren.
