…I find USSR to be the more responsible. Neither country can be held solely responsible for the Cold War as it was their interaction with each other which was the cause of it. It was an era of suspicion, clashing personalities, ideological differences and tension, combined with America’s belief that being a superpower held the “responsibility for world collaboration” as they did not want to repeat the mistakes made before the Second World War.
