good side” and go for what she wanted inside. Inevitably Rose was the accomplice in the story rather than the minister. Although, the minister helped Rose on her journey, it was Rose who knew what she wanted and was the determining factor on how far things would play out. Rose tamed her unconscious desires by giving them what they wanted and in return she got what she was looking for, her completed journey into womanhood.
