Women in Saudi Arabia Victims of Discrimination

Saudi Arabia, which is located in the Middle East, is known as a religious state where religion and government are one in the same. As the Islamic Religion is the government, its book, the Quran (Koran) is the foundation and structure of the laws in Saudi Arabia. As dictated in the Koran, men hold all governmental positions while the women stay home and perform domestic duties. This seems similar to what the trends of the 1950…

…Saudi Arabia treat women as less than equals, despite nationality, social class or religion. It is customary for men to treat all women as the weaker sex, as this idea has been implanted in them from birth. They are taught this by their father’s example, it in reinforced by the religion and praised by the government.
