In 1848 approximately twenty women got together to meet and discuss women’s suffrage at Seneca Falls. During these times women suffered greatly. They were not allowed to do many things that men could do. This includes voting privileges, being able to own property, family and money, and attaining the same education as men. The women’s suffrage movement was a very significant cause. Women worked very hard to gain equality with men on may different

Many more women are voting and getting involved with politics. Also, there are a lot of women who work, have children, and own a house with out the help of any men. This is a great accomplishment.
