The book highlights many events that took place during the Civil Rights movement and Shuttlesworth’s fight against segregation. …was not scared to do and say what other African Americans were afraid to. Fred’s actions backed up all of his words. He showed an unwillingness to back down in everything he did. In his fight, Fred was nearly killed three times and still remained optimistic. His followers learned that you can not kill hope. Overall, the book was wonderful. I am thankful for having the opportunity to learn about such a great man
