Youth Violence

Youth violence is escalating in the United States. More juveniles crimes, are sentenced to juvenile court, and then sent right back to where they started The question is, are these juveniles being treated right, are they getting the proper attention? Should they be treated like adults? Or should teenagers, no matter what the crime may be, be treated as juveniles? Many social and cultural factors in a child's life may influence a child’s behaviors. …

…since the consequences are not that harsh. Jail is a place where the prisoners should not have any rights. Sentencing a juvenile to an adult prison, may not be the solution to stopping delinquency or crime, but it will keeps the criminals off the streets. After school programs can help children and teenagers, by teaching them to solve their problems non violently. These programs would directly result in a lowering of the juvenile crime rate.
