hamlet
Gibson’s version is more to reality The ghost scene in the 1990 Version of Hamlet directed by Franco Zeferelli far surpasses in many ways the version made in 1996 of Hamlet directed by Kenneth Branagh. The Gibson version is better because Gibson and Paul Scofield who plays the ghost portray the scene more to reality of how it would have happened according to Shakespeare’s text. The ghost is seen to be more of just a
point across of the mood of the scene. Also, the setting of the Zeferelli version was more to how it would have been in the text of Hamlet the way Shakespeare wrote it. Gibson and Scofield made the ghost scene better and far more accurate by staying towards the reality of how it would have been in the text. Staying away from cheesy special effects was by far the better way to go. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Bibliography**
