Although juries have some flaws, most notably their lack of knowledge of the legal system, they have enormous benefits in that they represent the people, and the legal system exists to protect the people. Jurors may not have a deep, detailed knowledge of the legal system, but neither does the common person, and so juries usually do reflect the opinions, values and views of the wider community.Bibliography
