Shakespeare depicted Macbeth as an admirable figure for the beginning of his play, only to turn him into the enemy by the end. The apparent decline in is status fits the definition of a tragic figure perfectly. Macbeths’ tragic figure went through many stages during which he committed sinful acts, eventual leading to his ultimate demise.
