…wanted to be strong for his family and he wanted this to carry on to his son. The Poem “October” was Raymond’s way of thanking his father for who is was and that even though it wasn’t all good things Raymond learned from his father it was important to him. The poem was Raymond’s goodbye and I love you to his father, he final closure on his father’s life and death.
