…are expecting the blacks to be violent. In these three examples, prejudice comes from fear and a lack of people trying to understand each other. While many of the Prejudices portrayed in literature are often generalizations that come true anyway, it is degrading nonetheless. Being judged by other people’s actions is a fact of life. In almost every case though, prejudice results from fear or ignorance and is something everyone must try and avoid.
