relivistism vs absolutism
Relativism vs. Absolutism An ethical person is one who can balance both relativism and absolutism properly and wisely; one who knows when it is right to be a relativist and when to be an absolutist. Believing in total relativism or absolutism doesn’t make one an ethical person because they both have their weaknesses. In order to be a truly ethical person, one must place himself/herself in between the lines of the two. Relativism
is the direct opposite. Absolutism set strict standards and no exceptions to them neither. Absolutists believe there is a universal principle that everyone must follow by, and if that principle is ever broken, then one has done wrong – no exceptions whatsoever. An ethical person must know how to combine the two, relativism and absolutism, equally, so that they mingle together in unison. One must know when the laws are right and when to defy them.
