…At age 84, Susan was still at it. She’d been working so hard that people called her brave heart. She worked even though the midst of discouragement. Then on March 13, 1906 the sad news struck that Susan had died at around the age of 86.Even after her death the fight for women’s rights continued, and was eventually won in 1919 when the nineteenth amendment was added to the constitution giving women the right to vote(Runkle, 97,103).
