susan b. anthony
Susan B. Anthony Susan b. Anthony was born in Adams Massachusetts. Her father was a Quaker until he was dismissed from his meeting when he married her mother, a Baptist. Susan had her life changed because of her Quaker background, especially because of her father’s dismissal. Anthony had a good schooling life and her family led a middle class life. In the depression of 1837, the family's economic security was shaken, and Anthony became a
idea of how hard it was for woman in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. What Anthony accomplished in her lifetime is the reason she is a symbol for woman’s rights in our civilization today. I considered the writing of this book to give a good example of how hard woman had it back then. I admired how Anthony didn’t let any persecution stop her; she just kept trying and never gave up.
