Is America today closer to the attainment of the ‚ ‘Dream’ than it was in 1931, or has the ‘Dream’ been lost or even turned into a ‚Nightmare’? The American ‘Dream’; what is it all about? Is it only an illusionary ‘Dream’ which is a perfect means of a societal system to give it a structural character, in order to give the individuals the consciousness that their lives have a sense or should have a sense?
