The Concept of Work It is a wonderful thing to live in America. We are free! Free to rise above the economic status of our parents, to get an education, and to be whatever we want to be. From birth we are promised the right to pursue happiness (i.e. money). Our parents try to provide us with opportunities that they did not have so that we can be happier (i.e. have more money) …

…would be fine if everyone could get a job doing something that they loved. Unfortunately that just isn’t, and could never be, a reality. Think of all of the people that you know that are dissatisfied with their jobs. A job is a big part of a person’s life- disliking it can lower overall happiness. But remember, in America we are only free to pursue happiness, not to choose the method of pursuit.
