A Review of
All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque is a vivid portrayal of trench warfare on the French front during World War One. In doing that, Remarque gives his readers a completely different view of the war. At the start of the book, the
had started in World War One and had accounted for the majority of the fighting on the Western Front. However, I did not know exactly how destructive and gruesome it was, and that the Germans were also victims of war like the Allied soldiers were.
