Contradictions and Locke

In his "Second Treatise of Government", John Locke explains his views on "property right." Some scholars may believe he is more concerned with government as a protector of property rights, than of its liberty. They are wrong. The foundation of Locke's text is derived from the belief that law and government begin with property right, and this includes liberty. …property were clearly etched out for future generations. His chapters on Property and Dissolution of Government did not contradict, they were connected through logical progression. As a whole, the "Second Treatise of Government" exposes his genuine belief in liberty, individual rights, and in the dignity of human nature.
