Discrimination

Discrimination is any condition in which a group or individual is treated differently based on something other than individual cause, usually their connection in a socially diverse group or category. Such categories may include ethnicity, sex, religion, age, or disability. Discrimination can be looked upon as positive or negative, depending on whether a person receives favors or opportunities, or is denied them. Today, though, discrimination is rarely positive.
