Macbeth: The Man Who Rarely Thought Twice
Macbeth: The Man Who Rarely Thought Twice Shakespeare's play Macbeth is bursting with reckless and dangerous characters. Of them Macbeth is the most prominent. He is a valiant hero with a kind heart, but his rash decisions lead to the deaths of several people, including himself. The first of Macbeth's hasty decisions is his order to murder his dear old friend who knows too much, Banquo, and his son Fleance. Macbeth feels threatened by the
bad. While there apparitions tell him to " Beware the Thane of Fife." ( IV, i, 72) and he is given a false sense of hope that will eventually bring his downfall. Macbeth is a classic tragic hero brought to ruin by his excessive impulsiveness. Perhaps if he had thought twice about his trip to the witches or his orders of murder he would have been a successful king and his true kind nature would have shown through.
