The Jesuit Priests' venerable schooling can be seen in their multiple-fielded education, which is clearly depicted in Father Gabriel's near-perfect ability to play an oboe and his knowledge that the oboe's music would reveal him as a man of peace to the Guarani Indians …

Do you agree or disagree with that assessment? This film may be characterized as "haunting," because of its pure truth and revealment of the cruel and heartless world. I agree with this assessment for this film spurs up a feeling of fear mixed with regret of the world, thus making it "haunting."
