…in the color of blue that was believed to exhibit the expression of his fear of death and sadness. Around 1905 he started the rose period, which was meant to represent the fulfillment and happiness in his life. Around 1907 Picasso fell ill and created works which were labeled as cubism. Critics believe that these works were created to show his emotional and physical illness through abstract art. On April 8, 1973 Picasso passed away at the age of 92.
