…of different societal symbols are absent. Rarely are these other issues discussed in great deal on this show or many other comedies for that matter. Will and Grace is typical of its genre because it is a comedy that starts off with a problem at the beginning and is neatly solved and wrapped up within a thirty-minute time slot. It is not typical because of the uniqueness of the characters living situations and sexual preferences.
