In this chapter we learn about the Second Great Awakening, but more specifically, the impact it had on people, and the class of people it impacted the most. …This passage most likely reminds many workers of how it feels to work for someone under bad conditions. It presumably settled their concerns that those who do evil, will pay in the afterlife and that was enough for the working class to convert, and become faithful. So as one can see, the information brought to us in Chapter 7:The Second Great Awakening has definitely added to scholarly knowledge of the revivals of the Rochester area.
