The contrast between Katherine and Bianca is, in part, that Katherine assaults and disturbs the suitors through their ears, while Bianca pleases their eyes. One must also consider the situations Katherine and Bianca encounter throughout the play. Katherine and Bianca have several qualities in common but their personalities are very different.
