The book takes place in two cities. Reston Maryland, which is a suburb of Washington DC, Kenya Africa. The story takes place in the 1980's. …thing about the book was the fact that it was non-fiction. It really did happen. The book was written from different perspectives at times, but it was written mostly in third person. Most of the book was from the perspective of the narrator. The author of the book, actually took part in the incident causing the book to be extremely detailed and factual.
