The Yellow Wallpaper
The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman uses symbolism and imagery to convey a sad story of the repression that women faced during the late 1800's. The narrator, being female, is suffering
I had this overwhelming desire to free the narrator from her husband and the rest of the males in her life. She wanted company, activity and stimulation. Any woman of that time or this time should be free to make these chooses. Gilman did an outstanding job of portraying images that the reader could relate to.
