It was the year of 1945 when the U.S. and it's Allies were in War with the country of Japan. Japan had previously attacked the United States Naval Force's in Pearl Harbor, which had resulted in a big loss to the U.S. This event had led to the beginning of a War between the two and some of the U.S. Allies. Who knows could've happened if all of these decisions had been made then that's why I agreed with the author on how he said that he too also thought the use of the bombs could've been avoided before being used. If the Japanese had also not been so stubborn who knows history may be different but its happened already and there's nothing we can do about but talk about what happened.
