Self-regulation of behavior is similar in this research experiment in that the physical therapist helps the patient by giving them strategies to motivate them to achieve their goals and behave appropriately while doing so. With that, if the physical therapist did their job in aiding the patients through motivation and appropriate behaviors, the patient will be rightly reinforced for their behavior and achievements.
