Why do we need to know about the AIDS? An estimated 800,000 to 1.2 million people in the United States are infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) (American Social Health Association). Unlike many diseases, HIV infection and AIDS are preventable and getting up-to-date information is the first step towards protecting yourself.
