"A Place Other than Earth"

On July 20, 1969, the world stopped dead in its tracks and changed forever. Humans had stepped foot on something besides the earth the moon. The United States had beaten every other country to the moon. It was a hard mission to achieve, because it takes a lot of people and time to land on the moon, a lot of bravery and money, and the United States did it first! …landing on the moon was never forgotten. And never will be. It marks a period of time when the U.S. started out rough, but ended up more successful in the end. Millions of dollars, time from the astronauts and the government, the bravery of the pilots, and all the people involved with the Apollo 11 flight helped the U.S. to achieve its mission of landing on the moon. And it will never be forgotten.
