retirement. Depending on one's financial situation, it may not be worth opening a private practice. Being a cardiologist is one of the greatest jobs out there. To be rewarded with a doctorate title, one must have a very strong desire to serve patients, and withstand the long hours of medical practice and education. In the end it will all pay off with a more then substantial salary and self gratification of working to improve society.
