One day I was cleaning my car when I noticed that there were small, dark spot on my roof and trunk. I must have rubbed for two hours to try to get rid of those spots. …atmosphere may lower or raise the pH of unpolluted rain. However, when rain contains pollutants, especially sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, the rain water can become very acidic. The information I found on acid rain gave me a better understanding on the causes and the effects of this undesirable precipitation. In my opinion, acid rain will be a greater problem in the future. As the world's population increases, so will the need for fossil fuels.
