…our solar system. The Breakthrough Propulsion Physics project seeks to understand potential in-space propulsion systems beyond the capabilities provided by Newtonian mechanics. The project studies recently developed theories for propulsion systems that require no propellant mass and that attain the maximum transit speeds physically possible, as well as the energy production to power such devices. Topics of interest include coupling of gravity and electromagnetism, quantum vacuum energy fluctuations, warp drives and wormholes, and superluminal effects.
