…controversy within the United States. President Bush feels as if our current laws are adequate for our society. With criminals being the only ones to possess guns, law-abiding American citizens would have no protection. Therefore, with criminals being the only people with guns and no protection for others, crime rates would rise. Our countries current laws are protecting and defending our society. Limiting these laws, in an even greater extent, would only harm the public.
