One of the foundations of the African concept of harmony and peace rests upon the basic African cultural world-view of the philosophy of participation and integration. There is no drastic distinction between man and nature. …This is debatable but the position of this paper is that the European culture has not conceptualized what nature is and this explains why the European culture has failed to produce a single enduring religion. For the African, the unity of the world is ultimately founded upon religion or faith. The African, believes in the existence of a Creator, in divinities and in ancestors. This view about nature creates values common to the African people.
