Airport Extension Project

The airport runway extension took place on a large international airport that was in need of a mile long runway to accommodate the newer bigger jumbo jets to be produced in the near future. In order to fulfill this requirement, their largest runway needed to be extended 1000 feet. …schedule. To do so, a number of tasks were crashed so that 5 weeks could be gained, putting the project back on schedule. In the end, the project cost was only increased by 114,500 dollars which kept the overall cost of the project well under 8 million dollars. Besides this one delay, the project went as planned and was completed on time. Most importantly, both the airport and BJG&C Construction Management were completely satisfied with the results.
