Alexander was a very talented young boy. His father, King Philip hired the great philosopher Aristotle to tutor him when he was young. He was trained by his father the many skills of a soldier, so he too could become a ruler someday. The people who were formally under Alexander's empire partly recovered their freedom, although they still abided by the rules of Macedonia. Philip V, the king of Macedonia ruled over Greece, although this did not last long. A new successful empire would conquer Greece, and much of Alexander's former empire.
