Most people want to be good looking. Whether it is handsome or beautiful, people will do almost anything to enhance their looks. American society is so obsessed with looks that some people choose painful and expensive routes to be gorgeous, such as plastic surgery, Botox, or collagen injections. There is even a new reality show, Extreme Makeover, which takes the average, homely American, and transforms them into the stunning individual that the general public admires. …

…their own skin, will ultimately affect the way they perceive themselves. To make someone want to go to a doctor in hopes it will make them more attractive it ridiculous. Wanting to be pretty or handsome is not the crime, going to extreme and dangerous lengths is. Going through with the procedures will either make a new person, or make an extremely sick and helpless person. Is it really worth all the pain and suffering?
