I am going to compare and contrast the reactions of Arthur Birling and Sheila Birling to the interrogation in which they received by the Inspector. Both of which reacted in completely different ways. …was a mean thing to do. Perhaps that spoilt everything for her.' When the inspector blames Sheila unlike her father she admits she may have been responsible 'So I'm really responsible'. This shows that Sheila and her father both acted completely different to the interrogations, for where as Sheila felt sorry for Eva Smith and took responsibility for her actions her father, Mr. Birling, acted in complete denial to all of the inspector's questions.
