…a clear picture of the conditions, treatment and feelings the Joads' as they make there journey through the novel to the West. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in the history of our country and the Great Depression. It was a long novel, but you could feel the story because Steinbeck was writing about his own time period, not his ancestors or his children, but something he actually lived through.
