Animals for Entertainment Disease, birth defects, mutations – these predicaments are not what a person would think of when she goes to the zoo or animal theme park. However, these predicaments can be the result of inbreeding due to zoos claiming that they just want to end the extinction in species of animals. …a benefit that can be justified – that the species is being preserved and may someday be reintroduced to the wild – there is no compensating benefit to the individual animals if things like disease, birth defects and mutations are present. There is no main benefit being in captivity if association of other animals and freedom of movement is denied to these animals.
