Anthrax

In 1877, Robert koch grew an organism called anthrax. He tested, demonstrated, and produced anthrax by injecting it into animals. Anthrax is an animal disease that can be transmitted to humans by direct contact with infected animals or their products. The spore-forming bacteria called Bacillus Anthracis cause it. Antibiotic treatment is known to reduce the severity of the illness in workers who get hold of the anthrax disease through skin. Inhaled anthrax is nearly 100% fatal in spite of antibiotic treatment. Due to its lethality and possible use as a weapon, few humans are experiencing the upsetting effects of anthrax.
